Founded by U.S. veteran Keith Leonardo Comeau at W7998 Moose Lake Road, Antigo, Wisconsin, Leonardo Maritime Aeronautics is a lean, veteran-owned small business building the next generation of zero-emission amphibious electric UTVs and campers.
Our Mission
We design and prototype fossil-fuel-free vehicles that operate on land and water with no toxic coolants, no heavy metallic hulls, and no compromise on safety or range. Provisional Patent #64/030,746 protects our core breakthroughs: honeycomb CFRP monocoque construction, low-CG LFP battery vaults, and the non-toxic 25/35/40 glycerol/propylene-glycol/water thermal management system.
Our Timeline & Approach
We are bootstrapping a 4,000 ft² prototype cell (pole-shed lease + basic tooling) near Moose Lake. All vehicles are Pre-Order Only with an honest 8–12 month lead time and a fully refundable $500 deposit. This keeps us lean, protects margins, and funds real builds instead of hype.
Year-1 projection: 28–29 % blended gross margin at $1.93 M revenue. Break-even at 9 units. $175 k crowdfunding target funds the first Moose Lake prototypes and Northcentral Technical College OJT/internships.
Built by a veteran who refuses to cut corners or financial throats. No outside funding yet — just honest math, real engineering, and a commitment to deliver the first AquaBeetle V16 and AquaHome V2.1 from right here in Wisconsin.
